RFL Alumni: Leadership Looks Different on Everyone

At Roaring Fork Leadership, we believe anyone can be a leader, and that everyone belongs in the work of building stronger communities. Our alumni bring that belief to life.

There is no single RFL leadership journey. Our alumni come from different communities, backgrounds, professions, generations, experiences, and perspectives. Some arrived at RFL already seeing themselves as leaders. Others discovered their leadership along the way. Some lead organizations and teams. Others lead through service, relationships, ideas, family, creativity, advocacy, or simply the courage to step forward when their community needs them.

What connects them is a willingness to keep growing.

The RFL Alumni Network celebrates the people who have moved through our leadership programs and the many ways their journeys have continued. The impact of leadership development reaches far beyond a program or graduation. It lives in how people listen, navigate differences, build trust, bring others together, take on civic challenges, and create possibilities they may not have seen before.

Across nearly four decades, those individual journeys have become something larger: a connected community of people learning how to lead themselves, lead with others, strengthen organizations, and contribute to the communities and systems around them.

Our Alumni Story Is Bigger Than This Page

Roaring Fork Leadership’s alumni community includes more than 1,100 leaders who have participated in RFL programs over nearly four decades. The alumni featured here represent just part of that remarkable network.

Our online showcase currently includes RFL Academy alumni beginning with the Class of 2018 and Mastermind alumni beginning with Cohort 8. Many of the leaders who helped shape RFL and this region came through our programs long before we began collecting the biographies and stories featured here.

The biographies in this showcase reflect each alum’s story, work, and community involvement at the time they participated in their RFL program. Careers change. Organizations change. Communities change. And leadership journeys continue to grow and evolve long after an RFL experience ends.
