Melissa Sumera
Melissa Sumera is the finance and operations director for the Aspen Valley Land Trust. She grew up in Beaverton, OR, graduated from Evergreen State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and moved to Carbondale in 1999 with her then boyfriend (now husband). Outside of work, Melissa enjoys rafting, “vanlife,” long walks with her dog, Olympia, and lazy days on the couch. At RFL Mastermind, she hopes to renew her energy for the great work AVLT is accomplishing as she enters her 18th year with the organization in her new role as finance director.
