Brandon Deter
Brandon was born and raised in the Rifle area and after graduating from Rifle High School in 2003, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After a couple of combat tours overseas, he left the military and started volunteering for the Carbondale Fire Department before transitioning to a full-time position at the department. Brandon went on to earn an AAS in Paramedicine and a bachelor’s in medical administration and was recently promoted to Carbondale Fire’s Division Chief of Training. In addition, he teaches as an adjunct professor at Colorado Mountain College in their fire and EMS programs. Outside of work, Brandon enjoys archery, hunting, and scuba diving with his wife, and hanging out with their two fur babies. At RFL, Brandon is eager to grow as a leader both professionally and in his community, expand his leadership styles, and push himself outside of his comfort zone.
