Sean Jeffries
Sean hails from Maryland and was fortunate to ignite his passion for the performing arts while earning a bachelor’s in theatre from Frostburg State University. Later, he moved to Ohio for his MFA in theatrical lighting design from Kent State University. After graduating, Sean traveled the country working for several touring companies, opera productions, and regional theaters. When he decided it was time to be in one place for more than three months, Sean sought out a theatre to call home and found Carbondale’s Thunder River Theatre Company where he is currently the executive director. Outside of his work, his passions include hiking and volunteering with the Carbondale Creative District to revamp their 5-year strategic plan. At RFL, Sean is eager to expand his professional tool box and learn from the faculty and other Academy participants.
