Rosa Saucedo
Rosa was born in Zacatecas, México, before moving to Basalt, Colorado when she was nine years old. She married her high school sweetheart and together, they have three children. Since the pandemic, Rosa has been working with the Pitkin County Public Health Department on the Spanish Covid-19 Helpline, translating campaign materials around vaccines, public health orders, and anything related to Covid-19, as well as doing outreach within in the Latinx community to make vaccines and information accessible for Spanish speakers. For her work, Rosa won the Excellence in the Promotion of Health Equity award in 2021 from the Colorado Public Health Association and the Colorado Society of Public Health Education and Public Health. She now works as the bilingual communications specialist for Pitkin County. Rosa’s hobbies include jogging, hiking with her family, hanging out with friends at a local bar/restaurant, or at home reading a good book, coloring in mandalas with her kids or playing in the park with her dog. At RFL Mastermind, Rosa is looking forward to learning how she can better serve her Latino community.
