Chase Engel

Chase moved to Colorado in 2002 to attend Fort Lewis College in Durango (and ski and climb as much as possible!) After graduating in 2006, Summa Cum Laude, with concentrations in Anthropology, Sustainable Agriculture, and Business, Chase pursued his passion for beer, ultimately landing in Aspen as the head brewer for Aspen Brewing Company. In 2013, he founded Roaring Fork Beer Company in Carbondale, which he owned and operated until selling the business in 2020. Chase then opened a craft cocktail and beer bar in Carbondale called Batch Provisions in the same space as the former tap room for the brewery. He now works as the general manager at the Lakota Links Golf Course in Newcastle. After taking RFL’s Supervisor Bootcamp last year, Chase comes to RFL Academy motivated to give back to his community, through the Civic Impact Project.
