Tanya Van Rickley, RFL Development Director

Roaring Fork Leadership is excited to welcome Tanya Van Rickley as our new Development Director.

Originally from San Diego, Tanya made Colorado home in 2016 when she relocated with her two teenage children. Today, she proudly calls the Roaring Fork Valley and surrounding region home and is excited to invest her experience, passion, and leadership in strengthening RFL’s mission and community impact.

Tanya brings more than 30 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and relationship management. Throughout her career, she has built lasting partnerships, developed new business opportunities, and connected organizations with the people and resources needed to achieve meaningful growth and long-term success.

Since 2018, Tanya has also coached hundreds of professionals and teams through John Maxwell Leadership and Everything DiSC® communication programs. That work has given her a deep understanding of leadership development, organizational culture, and the power of investing in people, making Roaring Fork Leadership a natural fit.

“Roaring Fork Leadership’s mission of developing leaders and creating lasting community impact closely aligns with the work I’ve been passionate about throughout my career,” Tanya shares.

Leadership has been part of Tanya’s story from an early age. As the middle child of two retired U.S. Army Green Berets, she credits many of her leadership values to the lessons learned from her family, including one of her favorites:

“Never be the last to stand up and the first to sit down.”

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer. An empty nester and outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, biking, traveling, and exploring the state.

Four years ago, Tanya survived a life-changing heart surgery to save her life to avoid the “Widowmaker” heart attack. That experience strengthened her commitment to living with purpose, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact wherever she serves.

As Development Director, Tanya is excited to build relationships across the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys, expand partnerships, strengthen community engagement, and help Roaring Fork Leadership continue growing its impact throughout the region.
