Because of this community’s generosity, Roaring Fork Leadership raised nearly $6,000 during this year’s Colorado Gives Day giving season. Every gift – large and small – directly supports leadership development, scholarship access, and the continued strength of our region’s nonprofit, business, and civic sectors.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave, shared our campaign, or started a new recurring gift. Your belief in accessible leadership development makes a tangible difference for individuals and organizations across the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.

Your support matters now more than ever. Twenty-five percent of our Academy 2026 participants are receiving scholarship support, and scholarship requests for Mastermind 2026 are may exceed available funds. Rising costs of living continue to create barriers for emerging leaders who are ready to step forward – but need support to do so.

Ashley Mauldin, a licensed professional counselor and owner of New Awareness Counseling in New Castle is a 2020 RFL Academy alumna. Ashley credits her experience in the program with shaping how she leads today:

“RFL provided the confidence for me to expand my practice by adding two clinicians. Being a supervisor has been so rewarding, and I love the team I’ve created. RFL helped my confidence in networking, communicating, and knowing I have what it takes to lead the way. It reinforced that leadership isn’t a linear journey – it’s how we handle the hurdles that makes us great leaders. The program taught me how to lead by example, with empathy and compassion.”

Stories like Ashley’s reflect what your generosity makes possible. RFL graduates bring their skills back into local businesses, nonprofits, schools, and governments. They build teams, mentor others, serve on boards, and contribute to solutions that strengthen our communities over the long term. A gift to Roaring Fork Leadership is a gift to the entire region.

If you missed Colorado Gives Day, there is still time to make an impact before the end of the year. Year-end giving offers a meaningful opportunity to support leadership development while also taking advantage of potential tax benefits. Many donors choose to give through one-time or recurring gifts, or by making tax-smart contributions from retirement accounts. If you are age 70½ or older, a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from an IRA can satisfy your required minimum distribution while supporting a mission you believe in.

You can also support RFL at no cost by selecting us as your nonprofit of choice through the City Market Community Rewards Program. Once your Shopper’s Card is linked, a portion of every grocery trip supports leadership access in our region.

As we look ahead to the new year, your continued support ensures that leadership development remains accessible – not exclusive – and that our region continues to benefit from leaders who are grounded, capable, and committed to community.

Thank you for believing in the power of leadership and for standing with Roaring Fork Leadership.
