Troy Forbes

Troy grew up in Emporia, Kan. and attended Emporia State University on a basketball scholarship. He graduated with a bachelor’s of science in engineering and has a master’s of science in education from Northwest Missouri State University. Troy coached men’s basketball and taught at the collegiate level in Missouri, Illinois, Michigan and North Carolina for 10 years before moving to Aspen in 2009. He worked a variety of jobs in retail and rental management in the ski industry before finding his current position as an association and district manager with The Romero Group in 2017. Troy is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys skiing, fly fishing, hiking, camping, and biking. He also plays many sports, including softball, golf, basketball, and multiple racket sports. For the past six years, Troy has served on the board of his HOA and coaches and officiates multiple youth sports in Aspen. At RFL, he’s eager to collaborate with other working professionals in the Roaring Fork Valley on civic projects and learn more about the opportunities to improve his community.
