As the year draws to a close and the holidays bring us together, we find ourselves reflecting on the remarkable power of community and leadership – two values that remain at the heart of Roaring Fork Leadership (RFL).
Leadership is not just about taking action; it’s about creating connections, strengthening bonds, and inspiring others to build a better future. It is in moments of shared purpose and collective growth that we find hope—hope for what we can accomplish together.
In 2024, we witnessed the extraordinary ways leadership can unite us and transform our communities. Thanks to our donors, alumni, partners, and participants, this was RFL’s biggest year of programming ever:
- Supervisor Bootcamp provided tools for emerging leaders to strengthen their teams.
- Communication and Public Speaking Programs empowered individuals to find their voices and share their ideas confidently.
- The Unconscious Bias Forum created opportunities to foster greater understanding and inclusion.
- CoLab brought organizations and their staff together to collaborate through problem solving.
- ELEVATE gave women a space to explore leadership, belonging, and purpose.
- And, as always, our Academy and Mastermind Programs guided leaders to grow, innovate, and lead boldly.
These programs didn’t just teach leadership—they created ripples of impact across our regional community, from Aspen to Parachute. Leaders emerged better equipped to serve their teams, businesses became stronger, and communities grew more resilient. Every individual who stepped into an RFL space this year left with new skills, stronger connections, and the ability to uplift those around them.
It is this cycle – leadership inspiring community, and community supporting leadership – that brings us so much hope as we look toward 2025.
We live in a time that calls for thoughtful leaders: people who listen, learn, and act with courage and compassion. People who see challenges as opportunities to innovate and who bring others along as they rise. At Roaring Fork Leadership, we are proud to walk alongside these leaders, helping them discover their potential and amplify their impact.
As we celebrate this season of joy, gratitude, and reflection, we want to thank you – our alumni, donors, partners, and friends. Your belief in RFL and your support of our programs have made all of this possible. You are the heart of our leadership community, and together, we are building a brighter, stronger future for our whole community.
May the coming year be filled with opportunities for growth, connection, and impact. Wishing you peace, joy, and hope this holiday season.
With gratitude and optimism for all that is ahead,
Andrea Palm-Porter, Executive Director
Lizz Bailey, Development Director
