In this session, we accommodate the first 4 volunteers who sign up. If the session is filled up and you’d like to be an alternate if needed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteers help with unloading supplies, setting up the room, making coffee, helping with food preparation, clean up, supporting the speakers, program participants, and staff.
During this session, we will explore the part of our intelligence that has nothing to do with technical knowledge and book-smarts. It is the intelligence we have to navigate our day-to-day interactions with important people, make critical decisions and respond to our environment. We will look at emotional intelligence (EQ)—how it works and why it works. It is a much stronger indicator of success in work and relationships than cognitive intelligence (IQ), and it can be learned! We will explore the competencies associated with EQ and how to develop and grow those most critical to your success. One important key to success is the ability to think critically and intentionally about the decisions we face and the information we receive. As part of our study, we will learn about critical thinking—what it is and how to ensure we engage in it when it matters most. The session will be interactive and engaging–come prepared to see yourselves in action! You will walk away with tools that will help you develop your capacity for critical thinking and respond intelligently to whatever gets thrown your way.
You must be an RFL Academy Alumni to volunteer for this session.
