Project Description

Physician Assistant with Mountain Family Health Centers in Basalt

Born and raised in rural Iowa.  Emily graduated from Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology and Clinical Laboratory Science.  Obtained Physician Assistant training/certificate at Red Rocks Community College along with a Master of Medical Science degree from Saint Francis University in 2013.  Emily has spent her medical career practicing in Community Health Center settings, providing a broad range of care for the uninsured and underinsured populations of her community.  She has been living in the valley and practicing with MFHC since 2017.  Emily has developed a passion for the outdoors since moving to Colorado in 2009; enjoys hiking, backpacking and mountain biking.

Through RFL, Emily hopes to gain practical leadership skills to apply in her job, community, and family (husband Jordan and 1-year-old daughter Millie).  Also hopes to help find solutions for the high costs of health insurance and health care in the valley.
