How has your participation in RFL impacted your personal and professional growth?
I was at a turning point in my role on a leadership team at a non-profit and needed a deep and transformative experience to help me lead authentically. I also needed to develop awareness around ways of being and skills or approaches that were helping and hindering me.
What qualities have you come to believe are most important for true leadership, and why?
Vulnerability. Leadership happens between people and groups of people and the root of working together is connection. I believe vulnerability is the umbrella that contains other qualities such as deepening trust, openness, and is a very quick way to foster connection between like-minded people. No trust, no team.
