Carol takes great pride that she was fortunate to be born and educated in the Philadelphia area. She continues to be inspired by her strong connection to the birthplace of American freedom and the City of Brotherly Love. As an undergraduate, she studied science and business graduating from Widener University and then completed her MBA in Marketing Management at Saint Joseph’s University. For most of her professional life, Carol has been focused on business development, marketing, and sales within the graphic arts industry successfully representing several international fine paper manufacturers including Arjo Wiggins, Mead Paper, and Mohawk Fine Papers. In 2018, after many years of extensive business travel throughout the western US and Canada, Carol made a decision to challenge herself to work towards finding a more sustainable balance between her work and her life. She is now happily growing into her new role as human resource manager with The Romero Group, a property management company based in Basalt. Carol’s career has afforded her with various opportunities to be involved with corporate, arts, and educational organizations including board memberships with the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the Art Director’s Club as well as corporate liaison to the American College and University President’s Climate Commitment. In addition to her work, she has volunteered for several local non-profit organizations. She is passionate about exploring the world, skiing, cycling, and watercolor painting. A full-time resident of the Roaring Fork Valley for the past 20 years, along with her husband, John, and their terrier, Sly, Carol’s greatest privilege is sharing all life in Colorado has to offer with family and friends.
