Project Name: Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore Community Awareness Campaign: Helping the Valley Go Greener and Building Affordable Homes
Project Description: Thanks to Habitat’s ReStores, community members have diverted more than one million pounds of materials from landfills. In 2016, we will build and open a 50,000-sq.-ft. consolidated ReStore. We invite you to partner with us in using the launch of our permanent home to maximize valley-wide recycling/repurposing opportunities and generate income to build affordable homes.
Project Name: RFCCL Community Confluence
Project Description: This project is to reach out to (the marketplace) local non-profits and individuals with the Community Confluence – volunteer matching service that is hosted by the RFCCL website to align – and ultimately connect – leadership opportunities with people in the valley. Imagine loading in your basic personal information and interests – and then having volunteer leadership opportunities suggested to you! You don’t have to spend time researching on-line. All you have to do is complete your profile of interests and the database will make the connection. You can choose to get an email notification, too.
Project Name: Think Outside the Bank: A Riparian Campaign
Project Description: The importance of riparian vegetation to stream health is often unknown or overlooked. A lawn extending to the banks of the river often replaces integral streamside vegetation. To help raise awareness and initiate change, RFC is seeking partnership in a Riparian Vegetation Education Campaign to raise awareness and initiate change by engaging landowners, realtors, and landscapers.
